Joel founded SparkTran in 2010 after
having worked in the performance improvement industry for over 15 years.
He has led the design, implementation and operation of very successful
global incentive and loyalty programs for companies like Microsoft, RIM
BlackBerry, EMC, Cisco, FedEx, Dell, Bosch, Motorola, Symantec,
Autodesk, HP and Lenovo, among several others.
Before founding SparkTran, Joel was Vice President of Client Services and Planning for one of the world’s leading incentive companies with annual sales of over $600M. He provided strategic direction to the client service organization in order to ensure efficient and effective delivery of optimal service to company clients in line with best industry practices and the highest quality standards. He was also responsible for the retention and growth of all company accounts by looking after productive long-term relationships based on quality of service and ROI achieved. His extensive global marketing experience comes from working for companies like Nabisco and Procter & Gamble, where Joel spent the first years of his professional career. Joel enjoys his spare time playing the keyboard and the guitar and composing and recording his own music. He currently lives in Florida, U.S., with his wife Martha and two girls: Lillian and Naomi.

Gustavo possesses over 10 years of experience in performance improvement, a thorough knowledge and understanding of strategic planning, inventory management, supply chain, customer service, delivery services, project and account management, as well as sales processes and program start-up.
Before co-founding SparkTran, Gustavo was Vice-President of Operations for one of the world’s leading incentive companies, where he was responsible for aligning, expanding and directing global operational functions in the Americas, EMEA and APAC. Gustavo has a very broad understanding of the performance improvement business because, in addition to his previous roles as VP and Director of Operations, he has also played key roles in Business Development, Account Management and Project Management. He has developed 37 new global markets, cut down shipping fees by over 75% and removed customs hassles in over 70 countries by developing and negotiating drop-ship agreements and SLA’s with over 400 suppliers. He likes to work on home improvement projects and has an amazing ability to build, restore, fix, destroy and re-build anything imaginable. Gustavo lives in Florida, U.S., with his wife Fabiana and their daughter Clementina. |

Edward is an IT professional with over 15 years of experience in the design and implementation of revenue generating loyalty and incentive marketing programs for consumers, distribution channels and employees of Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
Before co-founding SparkTran, Edward co-founded a global incentive marketing boutique dedicated to providing innovative loyalty solutions to consumers and businesses, where he recruited, mentored and managed a top notch technical team that built a global rewards catalog and a framework that was used to construct hundreds of incentive programs for demanding customers such as RIM BlackBerry, Microsoft, FedEx, Western Union, Imation and Motorola. His company was later acquired by the world’s leading incentives company (part of WPP), for which Edward became the VP of Technology and managed the Business Analyst and Engineering departments. Edward holds a Master in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He enjoys the spare time not spent with his family reading about emerging technologies and experimenting with them. Edward lives in Florida with his wife Raque and their daughter Gaby. |
